Staying Ahead in Hospitality: SethiG at HoSkar NIGHT Bangkok 2025

Insights, Partnerships, and the Evolving Role of Branded Residences

SethiG’s participation at HoSkar NIGHT Bangkok 2025 underscored our ongoing commitment to hospitality innovation, industry collaboration, and premium guest experience. Hosted by WeHub and held at the newly reimagined Dusit Thani Bangkok, the event brought together leaders in hospitality development, operations, and investment to explore the evolving landscape of branded residences and mixed-use developments in Southeast Asia.

Representing SethiG at both the Developer’s Seminar and evening networking session was our Managing Director, Tharin Sethi and Business Development Associate, Thanin Sethi. With our firm’s deep-rooted legacy in hotel ownership—dating back to 1991—and active advisory work in market expansion and operational consulting, the discussions at HoSkar offered valuable insights into the changing dynamics of asset creation and positioning in today’s hospitality market.

The day’s agenda featured industry veterans including Rico Picenoni (Savills) and Anthony Moulton (Brand & Co), who provided a strategic outlook on the rise of branded residences and the increasing importance of independent ultra-luxury concepts in a competitive global market.

Additional Highlights Included:

  • Pep Vich (CMV Architects), who explored the operational nuances of shared amenities in mixed-use developments.
  • Tareq Bagaeen (HotStats), who challenged conventional thinking around profitability and performance metrics across hospitality segments.
  • Robert Collins (Savills), who offered a grounded session on common area cost structures—an area where we regularly support clients and partners navigating long-term investment returns.

The event culminated in a panel featuring key figures such as Marciano Birjmohun, Mauro Gasparotti, Siradej Donavanik (Dusit International), and Jens O. Reichert (Accor), who together examined the emergence of branded residences as a standalone investment class—particularly relevant as we advise on a new branded property in Sukhumvit under the Gulati family portfolio.

Beyond the sessions, HoSkar NIGHT was an opportunity to reconnect with longstanding collaborators across the region. We were glad to engage with Yiam Sreshthaputra, Björn Richardson (Boutique Corporation), Patom S’prayoon (PCL Hospitality), and others who have worked closely with us through our Guestline partnership.

It was also a pleasure to catch up with Michael Hofstetter (Wyndham), Scott Walton (Siamese & Kew Green), and colleagues from Accor, Centara, IHG, Radisson, and Best Western—many of whom continue to choose Dream Master Bedding, our hospitality partner, for their premium sleep solutions.

As Southeast Asia’s hotel landscape continues to evolve, events like HoSkar are essential for sharing knowledge, strengthening relationships, and staying ahead of market trends. At SethiG, we remain committed to helping our partners develop, operate, and grow hospitality assets that deliver long-term value and exceptional guest experiences.
