Personal Update from Tharin Sethi – Bridging Hospitality & Startups
For those who know me well, hospitality has always been part of my DNA. Growing up around my family’s hotels, I naturally gravitated toward the industry, and it has shaped much of my professional journey.
But this year marked a big shift—stepping outside my comfort zone and diving into the magical world of startups! First as a Consultant, then as an Investor, and now as a full-time Builder with WOWS GLOBAL, alongside Gagan Singh & Mike Cappelle.
While my roots in hospitality remain strong, I’m beyond excited about the opportunities within the startup ecosystem. I’m incredibly grateful to those in my network who have helped me navigate these new terrains. I may be a startup man now, but the hotelier in me will always remain!
To that point, I was humbled to represent Guestline as a Speaker at the Thai Hotel Association’s Annual Member’s Luncheon at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center during FHA-Food & Beverage‘s event in Bangkok earlier this year. It was a privilege to share the stage with Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt and THA President Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi, speaking alongside industry leaders about the future of hospitality.
A heartfelt thank you to THA, FHT planning committees, and all the hoteliers in attendance. And a special shoutout to my longtime peer Matthew Emptage for always having my back!
Here’s to bridging hospitality & startups and exploring new frontiers!
