Company Overview
SethiG is the brainchild of Tharin Sethi Tharin Sethi and is an offshoot of four generations of Thai-Indian businesses spanning textile manufacturing, textile trading, leasing, tailoring, pewter manufacturing, and real estate, particularly investments in the hospitality industry. The name SethiG is a tribute to Tharin’s lineage and an homage to Mr. Chaiyen Sethi and Mr. Iqbal Gulati – his great-grandparents, who initiated their respective family businesses in Thailand after migrating from Punjab, India (modern-day Pakistan).
Today, SethiG primarily focuses on enabling international sales and trade inbound and outbound from its home market of Thailand, while also dabbling in real estate and venture investments.
The SethiG logo is a tribute to the company’s humble roots and also resembles its ambitions and commitment to building enduring businesses. Utilizing the decades old Euro bird logo as a base template, the new rendition represents the infinity symbol with the bird specifically soaring to achieve greater heights. The two ends represent different parties and is indicative of the role SethiG plays as a bridge connecting opportunities to enable concrete growth.
Founder Overview
Tharin Sethi is a fourth-generation Thai-Indian entrepreneur. He received his high school IB diploma from NIST International School in Bangkok, Thailand before attending the University of Washington & the London School of Economics, where he studied Political Economics and International Relations, with minors in Southeast Asia Studies and Global Health. Tharin’s family has owned and operated businesses in textiles, pewter, leasing, real estate, and hospitality, primarily in Thailand, since 1940. Hospitality investments remain the family’s single largest holdings.
He began his career in the US working for Gravity Payments and SmilePOS before returning to Thailand in 2018. Since then, he has been involved in his family businesses while also pursuing his passion: representing and selling world-class products and solutions. Tharin believes that business is all about people and building meaningful, long-term relationships. He is firmly committed to continuing his family’s legacy of connecting opportunities across international borders and compounding measurable incremental growth.
SethiG is his humble contribution to this legacy and is the cumulative result of all his past ventures since 2017, as well as his various current business interests.
